What do YOU think? Re-reading

Do you re-read?
I was talking to my mom about re-reading today and what kind of books make you want to re-read them. I realized that the books I tend to re-read are either funny books that make me laugh or books that I find comforting in the sense that I either love the characters or just the feel of the story. I also realized that I re-read MG books much more often than I re-read YA, which I guess says that I find MG books more comforting? For instance some of the books I've re-read in the past year are Artemis Fowl which is a book that can make me laugh a lot and why I love to re-read it!

Also The Penderwicks is a book that you just feel happy reading.

And a more recent favorite to re-read is Tuesdays at the Castle which is another book I love.

What about all of you? Do you like to re-read? And if yes, what kind of books make you want to re-read them?

  1. I love to reread books! I reread the books I really, really liked, and after three or more times reading something, I'll consider it a top favorite. I've done that with a lot of Sarah Dessen's and Simone Elkeles's books. I've done that with some of my favorite series, too, like TMI and Vampire Academy.

    1. It's fun to re-read favorite books! It makes me feel good. I really need to read the TMI series, I've never read any of that authors books. They sound really good!

    1. I LOVE The Penderwicks! I mostly re-read books when I need a mood boost or when I'm in a reading funk. I also re-read Graphic Novels pretty often because it's quicker to re-read them. Otherwise I just read books I've never read before! And thank you!!! : )

  3. I LOVE rereading. It's the best. I get why some people might not like it because they know what's going to happen and all, but I love revisiting my favorite places, characters, and their stories. Like love stories? Ah, so good. I actually revisit my mom's Christian adult books a LOT. I barely read any MG actually. I might have to give those a shot though :)

    1. I know! It's just really comforting to re-read books you love. And love stories! It's like the first time I read them I just want to find out what's going to happen, and the second time I can really appreciate the little things in the story! You should try these MG books, especially The Penderwicks! I love that book! It makes me want to smile just thinking of it! :)
