This Wednesday I'm Waiting on: Wanderlost by Jen Malone
Seventeen-year-old
Aubree has always idolized her adventurous older sister, even while
utterly content to track Elizabeth’s antics from the cozy comforts of
home, in the tender care of doting parents. So when Elizabeth gets
herself in "a touch of trouble” and, for the first time ever, actually
needs Aubree's help, Bree is flattered but insistent.
There’s no
way she can do what Elizabeth is asking. Impersonate her
recent-college-grad sis all summer, just so Elizabeth can score the
recommendation she needs to land her dream position? Nope, nope, not
gonna happen.
ESPECIALLY when Elizabeth’s summer job is leading a bus tour.
A bus tour across Europe.
A senior citizens' bus tour across Europe.
And
that's even before Bree finds out that the tour owner’s super-cute son
(who is decidedly NOT elderly) will be a last-minute addition.
Bree would have to be crazy. Or would she?

Top Ten Picture Books for Halloween!
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog
I love Halloween, but not the terrifying parts of it! I'm more into the fun, whimsical parts. Which means I'm not the best person to do a list of books for Halloween. But then I thought, why not do another Halloween PB post? I have done Halloween Picture Book posts before (Here, Here, and Here.), but I thought it would be fun to do again! (All of the books on those lists still are ones I recommend, too!) :)

A Enormous Library.
Think the library from Beauty & the Beast, but white bookcases, window seats, a big fireplace, and comfy furniture everywhere. :)

To Be Able to Go Into A Favorite Book
The Ability to Know Exactly What Book I Would Most Enjoy At The Moment
Think of it: Never having to try multiple books before finding one to enjoy.
Never Getting in a Reading Slump Again
A Bottomless Purse That I Would Be Able to Pull Whatever Book I Wanted Out of It, Whenever I Wanted It
I basically want the Grandmother's bag from Halloweentown. Except a prettier version, with like, a Vera Bradley pattern on it.
What wishes would you ask the Book Genie to grant you? :)
Review: You're Invited
Review: You're Invited by Jen Malone and Gail Nall
Four best friends start a party-planning business in this fresh, funny tween novel from the authors of At Your Service and Breaking the Ice.
Twelve-year-old Sadie loves helping her mom with her wedding planning business, and with Sadie’s mad organizational skills, she’s a natural! That’s why it’s so devastating when her mother “fires” her after a Little Mermaid–themed wedding goes awry.
Enter Sadie’s best friends: sporty Vi, ace student Lauren, and boy-crazy Becca. The girls decide that in order to get Sadie’s mom to reconsider, they have to make her see how amazing Sadie is at party planning. Except no one’s gonna hire a twelve-year-old to plan a wedding. A birthday party, though? Definite possibility.
Before long, RSVP—your one-stop shop for the most creative parties in town—is born. Of course, Sadie can’t wait to prove herself to her mom, but the other girls also have their reasons for enlisting: Vi has her eye on the perfect gift for her hardworking dad, and Becca’s all aflush at the thought of connecting with Ryan, the new Irish cutie in town. And though Lauren thinks she’s too busy with summer studies to “officially” join, she’s willing to help out in any way she can.
But in this particular party-planning business, nothing goes according to plan! Sadie’s mom is a perpetual no-show, Vi’s archrival is dead set on ruining her summer, Becca can’t seem to get Ryan to glance in her direction, and Lauren keeps choosing studying over her friends. Is the girls’ friendship strong enough to survive a business? Or does RSVP spell the end of these BFFs?

Plot: The idea of this book (A group of friends decide to begin a party planning business one summer.) just sounded very good to me! Very neat! :)
Characters: Vi, Sadie, Lauren, and Becca were all fun characters to read about! I also loved how at the beginning of each chapter was something that fit each of the girls personalities. A recipe for Vi (Which I already plan on making some of them!), a to-do list for Sadie, a word and definition of it for Lauren, and a horoscope for Becca! Very fun! :)
The cover: Love! (And I love the cover of the next book even more!) :)
Overall: Having read both of the authors debut books (Jen Malone's At Your Service, and Gail Nall's Breaking the Ice.) and enjoying them a lot, I had high hopes for this book! And it didn't disappoint! Getting to read about all the characters adventures in party planning was fun! Very enjoyable! Highly recommend for fans of Middle Grade books!
P.S. When I described the plot and characters to my Mom, she told me it sounded like the Baby-Sitters Club books by Ann M. Martin, which I loved (And still love!)! And I definitely agree with! (If you know me, and how much I used to love those books, you know that's a huge compliment to this book.) (I actually think I heard someone else compare them to those books, but I don't remember where...) Have you read this book? Do you agree? :)
I bought my own copy of this book.

Top Ten Author Duos You'd LOVE To See Write A Book Together
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog
This was a REALLY hard topic for me to think up ten for this week! I had actually never thought about this before, but I did think it was fun, and I wanted to try to think up ten! I did manage eight! (I wasn't able to think up what kind of book I would want them to write, but I just know if these authors wrote a book together, it would be awesome.) :)
