Review: Saturdays at Sea

Review: Saturdays at Sea by Jessica Day George

Don't read this summary or my review if you haven't read the previous books! There are spoilers!

This bestselling series comes to a rousing conclusion as Celie and her family set sail on a ship made from their beloved Castle!

After constructing a grand ship built from parts of the Castle, Celie, Lilah and Rolf are ready to set sail! But on its maiden voyage, the Ship steers them far off course into uncharted waters. Celie and her sister, Lilah, hope that the Ship is heading to the ancient island where unicorns once roamed, but as the journey grows longer and supplies run low, they could be in trouble. Can Celie and her family trust the Ship just as they’ve always trusted the Castle?

Readers will delight in this adventure-filled conclusion to Jessica Day George’s bestselling series.

Plot: As much as I love the castle, it was neat in this book to get more of a look at the world outside of it! I don't want to say much more here, in fear of spoiling people. But just know that I thought the plot was really fun, and I loved it!

Characters: I always love reading about Celie, Pogue, Lilah, Lulath (The dogs!), Rolf, and everyone else in the books! Not to even mention the griffins, who are characters just as much as the people are!

The cover: I like it!

Overall: I love this series so much! I honestly would put it in my top five of all-time. I would happily read many more books about the characters (I would love to read a book, or even a short story about the characters, that takes place a few years after this book, too! I would love to see what their lives are like in the future!) and the castle! And while I'm sad to see it end, I'm happy with how the final book ended! It was a fantastic ending to a wonderful series! Thank you to Jessica Day George for writing this awesome series!

And if you haven't read the Castle Glower books, I highly recommend you give them a try! :)

I checked this book out from my library.
