What's Up? (Hi, I'm Back.)

Hey, everyone! I know I haven't been posting much (When I went to look, my last post besides the 4th of July one was in May.) on the blog recently. I don't really want to get into everything here, but the short story is that both myself and someone in my family have been having (separate) medical issues, and between myself not feeling well, and being super stressed about it all, I just haven't felt like blogging. But tonight (As I'm writing this.) I suddenly felt like writing something again. I've been reading some good books, and I felt like talking about them, and I just felt like getting back involved with the blogging world. So this post is going to be a sort of mini review/what's up with me/how are you all? post. I' not able to promise I'll be posting regularly again anytime soon, but I do want to try and post at least a little bit.

Here we go! :)

(And before I get to all that, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who said a prayer and reached out to me with kind words when I tweeted a prayer request for my family. You all are such kind people, and I really appreciate it.)

What have I read recently?
I just finished Junior Lifeguards: The Test by Elizabeth Doyle Carey, and it was fun! It reminded me of the books I used to read when I was in Middle School (Like the BSC, The Saddle Club, and more like them, but at the beach!), and that's good! I look forward to the next book!

My Mom and I read Shark Lady by Jess Keating together and really enjoyed it! Learning about Eugenie Clark was really interesting, and I loved the illustrations in it!

I felt like a historical Christian fiction novel, so I checked out A Worthy Pursuit by Karen Witemeyer and quite liked it! I read the sequel novella, too! It made me want to try more of that authors books!

My Mom was browsing the new books at the library and saw A Front Page Affair by Radha Vatsal and though I might enjoy it. She was right! When I finished reading it, I went straight to the sequel, Murder Between the Lines, and enjoyed it, too! These are neat historical mysteries, and I look forward to reading another book about Kitty! Also, I think these are good crossover books for YA readers, because the main character is around nineteen in them.

I also recently read Stef Soto, Taco Queen by Jennifer Torres and enjoyed it! This is a fun MG book and it made me hungry while reading it!

And I read #famous by Jilly Gagnon and liked it a lot! I didn't know a lot about this book when I first began reading it, so I didn't really know if I would like it or not. But I did like it! It was a fun YA!

And of course I have been reading the My Little Pony graphic novels as they have been releasing. They are so fun! Does anyone else like them?

Have you read any of these books? :)

What have I been up to?
Well, summer is my favorite season, and I have been enjoying it! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, and my family and I had a fun time celebrating it! We spent the day doing fun things, and then that night we watched fireworks on the TV. I have also been thinking about my Birthday this month and what I want for my Birthday dinner at home. (In my family, we all get to pick what we want for dinner the day we celebrate it with family.)

What have I been watching?
My Mom and I went to the theaters to see Cars 3 (LOVED. Seriously, if you haven't seen it? Go watch it! I loved seeing everyone from Radiator Springs again, and I loved meeting new characters in it, too! I want another movie! I might write up a review of it for the blog.) and Despicable Me 3 (Entertaining!) together and had fun!

TV is something that is really great when you're stressed (Though, not just then, but anytime.) The Good Witch is something I've been enjoying (Fellow Hallmark Channel fans, who else is looking forward to the return of Chesapeake Shores in August?), and game shows! I seriously love them, Pyramid, Hollywood Game Night, Celebrity Family Feud, they are all fun! My Mom and I really enjoy watching them!

My family just got Netflix, and I've been watching it a lot! I've been going back and watching H2O, which was a show I used to watch when I was younger and have been enjoying it again! And Spirit: Riding Free! Who else loves the movie Spirit? I loved it when it first released, and still enjoy it! The new TV show is fun, I only have one episode left in the season. My Mom and I are planning on starting When Calls the Heart, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, among others, together! We also want to finally watch Moana! For those of you who have Netflix, do you have any recommendations for us?

What have I been listening to?
I absolutely love Hunter Hayes new song Rescue! And Mandisa's song Unfinished is great!

What else?
I've been pondering the idea of doing some posts about Picture Books I like on the blog! I also really would like to get back into commenting on peoples blogs. :)

That turned out to be a lot longer post than I thought it would be! If you feel like answering the questions I asked in this post, please feel free to comment here or tweet me! I would like that! :)
