Summer Lovin’ 2022! Interview With Jamie Wesley!

Hi, everyone! Today I'm happy to present an interview with Jamie Wesley, the author of Fake It Till You Bake It, which is out now! She is also the author of multiple other books, including the One-On-One series, which is also out now.

Would you please tell us a little about your book, Fake It Till You Bake It?

FAKE IT TILL YOU BAKE IT is a contemporary romance about a football player who co-owns a cupcake shop with his two best friends (who are also football players) and ends up fake dating a woman who has become a national villain after turning down a proposal on a reality TV dating show (and who kinda sorta insulted the cupcake shop the first time she visited).

If you walked into Donovan’s bakery, Sugar Blitz, what would you order?

I’d get a cookies ‘n cream cupcake to eat there and a peanut butter cupcake to take home. They’re both sooo good. LOL.

Random Question! What’s your favorite color?

PURPLE! Always and forever. All shades, though deep purple is my favorite.

If you’re able to talk about it, what are you currently working on?

I’m working on the second book in the Sugar Blitz series about one of the other co-owners.

What are some of your favorite Romance books? And what are some you’re looking forward to reading?

Recent faves include Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney, The Dating Playbook by Farrah Rochon, Charming as a Verb by Ben Philippe, You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria, and Lush Money by Angelina M. Lopez.

I’m looking forward to Farrah Rochon’s The Hookup Plan, Jayci Lee’s Hooked on a Feeling, Knot Again by Kwana Jackson and Kristina Forest’s The Neighbor Favor, which doesn’t come out until February 2023.

Thank you to Jamie Wesley for participating in this event! :)

Author Bio: Jamie Wesley has been reading romance novels since she was about 12 when her mother left a romance novel, which a friend had given her, on the nightstand. Jamie read it instead, and the rest is history.

She started her first manuscript, a contemporary romance, after she graduated from Northwestern University in 2002 and couldn't find a job. Life got in the way as it often does, i.e. she found a job, and she didn't finish the story. However, she never forgot about it and finally got serious about completing it in 2009. And then she finished a few more stories. In 2012, her manuscript, TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD, was named a finalist in RWA’s Golden Heart competition and was published by Entangled Publishing in 2014.

Jamie holds a master’s degree in sport management (yes, that's a real thing :-) ) from the University of Texas at Austin, so it probably comes as no surprise that she loves sports and spends an inordinate amount of time rooting for her hometown Dallas’s pro sports teams and her alma maters.

She also adores Walt Disney World, shopping, and pop culture. Want to know if your favorite TV show is going to be canceled or what the newest Disney attraction is? Ask Jamie. She'll probably know the answer.
