Review: Curds of Prey!

Review: Curds of Prey (A Cheese Shop Mystery) by Korina Moss

In Korina Moss's Curds of Prey, murder again comes to Yarrow Glen, and cheesemonger Willa Bauer must be the predator… before she becomes the prey.

Yarrow Glen's favorite cheese shop, Curds & Whey, gets to be a part of the social event of the season: Summer Harrington’s wedding. Cheesemonger Willa Bauer is going all out for the wedding shower’s cheese bar. But the eagle-eyed Harrington family is proving to be a pain in her asiago. A last-minute tasting ends in disaster when one of Willa’s potential beaus, Roman, gets in a fight with the groom. Then the shower arrives, and while there’s anything but love in the air, there is plenty of cheese. Oh, and Roman... again. The day officially ends in disaster when Willa finds the groom—who also happens to be the mayor’s nephew—in the stable, dead as a dodo. At the mayor’s request, Willa must follow the trail of cheese curds to find a killer while continuing to walk a tightrope between two of Sonoma Valley’s most powerful families.

Plot: This was another fantastic Cheese Shop Mystery! The mystery was really well written. I also loved the elements not related to the mystery, regarding Willa's personal life. (I have a ship, I think it will sail!) There was a moment towards the end (no spoilers, but not related to the main mystery) that genuinely surprised me, and I did not see it coming at all.

Characters: As always, Willa was a wonderful main character! And I love the other characters in the book, her friends are particularly great.

The Cover: I really like it!

Overall: I loved being back in Yarrow Glen with Willa and the residents of the town! This series is one of my favorites, and this newest installment did not disappoint. And the food! The recipes mentioned throughout all sounded amazing. Overall, I highly recommend reading it!

Review: I really enjoyed reading this romance novella collection! All the characters were fantastic. I knew that the stories were all set at the airport, but I didn't realize that the stories would be connected, which was a fun surprise for me! All the novellas were excellent, but I think my favorite was the last one, The Sweetest Connection. Overall, I would definitely recommend this collection of novellas!

Blog Tour: The Love Wager - Spotlight/Review!

Hallie Piper is turning over a new leaf. After belly-crawling out of a hotel room (hello, rock bottom), she decides it’s time to become a full-on adult.

She gets a new apartment, a new haircut, and a new wardrobe, but when she logs into the dating app that she has determined will find her new love, she sees none other than Jack, the guy whose room she’d snuck out of.

Through the app, and after the joint agreement that they are absolutely not interested in each other, Jack and Hallie become partners in their respective searches for The One. They text each other about their dates, often scheduling them at the same restaurant so that if things don’t go well, the two of them can get tacos afterward.

Spoiler: they get a lot of tacos together.

Discouraged by the lack of prospects, Jack and Hallie make a wager to see who can find true love first, but when they agree to be fake dates for a weekend wedding, all bets are off.

As they pretend to be a couple, lines become blurred and they each struggle to remember why the other was a bad idea to begin with.

This book made me laugh, made me giggle, and made me just so happy. Hallie and Jack were perfect main characters, and I loved reading about how they fell for each other. Overall, I highly recommend this book!

Review: I picked up this book thinking it sounded interesting, and that I would enjoy it, but I did not expect how much I would love this YA novel! The characters were fantastic. I loved Evan as the MC, and my heart hurt for how much she went through, and how unfairly she was treated. There were characters who I started out not liking, but as the book went on (and we learned new things), they grew on me. When I found out this was the beginning of a series, I was so happy! I want more time with these characters and world. The ending was great! And I would definitely recommend checking the trigger warnings, there are a lot of sensitive topics discussed, and events that occur in this book. Overall, I loved this book so much, and would highly recommend reading it! I can't wait for book two!
