Great post. Ella Enchanted is making a lot of these lists it seems but most likely for good reason (I never read it).
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Mechanica yesterday and although I found the writing style to be good I was ultimately disappointed with the plot and lack of dialogue in the book.
I've had my eyes on Mechanica for awhile and I'm going to have to check it out! Great list!

ReplyDeleteOh wow, you have some great new discoveries, at least for me, on your list. I haven't read all too many retellings yet, but I will I am sure. Ice by Sarah Beth Durst and Cinder by Marissa Meyer is the first two that comes to mind when I try to think of which ones I have read.
