Top Ten Books About Friendship
None of the books below are just about friendship, but they do feature a few of my favorite friendships in books!
The Gallagher Girl books by Ally Carter
The first books I thought of when I read about this TTT are the GG books! The friendship between Cammie, Bex, Liz, and Macey is probably one of my, (If not my.) favorite friendship in books! :)
The Squad books by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Minor spoiler: Toby may not begin the books with many (Any.) friends, but the friendship that develops between her and the other girls is fun! :)
Firespell by Chloe Niell
The friendship between Lily and Scout is fun! :)
Kimi Ni Todoke by Karuho Shiina
This is one of my favorite Manga, and a lot of that has to do with the friendships in the book between Sawako, Chizu, and Ayane, it's one of the best that I have read about in books! :)
The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall
This is more of a friendship between sisters than anyone else, but I love it! And their friend Jeffrey is wonderful!
Amelia Rules! by Jimmy Gownley
Amelia, Rhonda, Reggie, Pajama man, and even Ninja Kyle have a hilarious friendship in these GN's, love it! :)
I Heart Band by Michelle Schusterman
I don't want to talk a lot about the friends in these books if you haven't read them for fear of spoiling you, but it's good. :)
A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Llyod
Felicity and Jonah are not just two of my favorite characters now, but their friendship is perfect in the book! :)
A Horse of Her Own by Annie Wedekind
There are two friendships I like in this book, the first is the friendship between Jane and her sister, and the friendship between Jane and her friend Robyn! :)
Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori
I love the friendships in these books! :)
What's your TTT? :)
Kimi ni Todoke! I can't believe I forgot to put that one on my list. I struggled for a while with putting Ouran on my list, but I left it off. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteShelly @ Raindrops and Pages' Top Ten Tuesday
Thank you! I almost didn't put Oran on the list, but I decided I wanted to! :)
DeleteI've heard great things about A Snicker of Magic. I should really try and check it out!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do! It's probably my favorite new book I have read this year! :)
DeleteThe Gallagher Girls! I knew you'd be another one who'd put this up ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought you would have it on your list, too! ;)
DeleteThe Gallagher Girls are the only books that I know on your list. That one definitely does have some brilliant friendships in it. Nice list :) Here's my TTT.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteLove GG books (also on my list) and the Squad books are fantastic -wish there were more of them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have more of The Squad books, too! :)
DeleteHoly moly, I forgot about Firespell. Such an awesome series. Loved the first book. And yes, their frienship was awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteNina from J'adore Happy Endings
Ah, I love reading that other people like that series, too! :)
DeleteI haven't read any of these books, do you have any recommendations for which ones I should be sure not to miss?
ReplyDeleteHmm, I love all of the books above, (They are all wonderful in their different ways) but I think the three that I would definitely recommend to everyone are the GG books by Ally Carter (They are fabulous!) , A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd (Wonderful debut!), and The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall (Definitely one of my favorite series ever!)! :)
DeleteIf you read any of them, I hope you love them! :)
And if a GN is alright, Amelia Rules! by Jimmy Gownley is hilarious! :)
