Want-To-Read Wednesday Vol. 1

Hi, everyone! This is a new feature I'm beginning on the blog, called Want-To-Read Wednesday! It's a little inspired by Waiting on Wednesday, which was created by Breaking the Spine, and was featured on many (including my own) blogs. For awhile now it has seemed that WOW had ended, but I always enjoyed sharing upcoming releases that I was looking forward to reading. Which is why I thought, why not create a new feature to post on my blog?! Every Wednesday I will share five books that center around a theme, that have not yet released, that I'm looking forward to reading! You're welcome to join in, if you want! I'm going to list the upcoming topics here. Just link back, and include the image for the feature.

The theme this week is YA Books! Here are five YA books I'm looking forward to reading.

Are you looking forward to any of these? And do you like this new feature? :)

5 More Illustrated Covers (2020 Edition)!

Hi, everyone! I've mentioned before on the blog how much I love illustrated covers, so I thought it was time to post another round up! 2020 has a plethora of books with illustrated covers, which makes me very happy! I'm only including five books here, because I really wanted to highlight my favorites today. Also, I'm only listing books that haven't released yet. All of these are on my TBR list, and I think they all sound fantastic! Here we go!

Every time I see this cover, I think of Kiki's Delivery Service (One of my favorite movies!), which (or should I say witch? I'm sorry, I had to.) makes me happy! I also think this book sounds really good!

I like how bright this one is, and the little ferret is adorable!

I don't think I've ever mentioned this on here, but I love snowglobes! Paired with blue (My favorite color!), you know I love this one!

This is adorable, and I love it!

I love the books, the colors, and the way this cover catches your eye!

Do you like any of these? What are some upcoming books with illustrated covers you love? :)

Twelve-year-old Abigail Hensley is a socially awkward aspiring anthropologist who has always had trouble connecting with her peers. Abigail is hopeful that a week at sleepaway camp is the answer to finally making a friend. After all, her extensive research shows that summer camp is the best place to make lifelong connections. Using her tried-and-true research methods, Abigail begins to study her cabinmates for friendship potential. But just when it seems that she is off to a good start, her bunkmate's phone gets stolen, and Abigail is the main suspect. Can she clear her name, find the real culprit, and make a friend before the week is done?
-summary and cover via Goodreads

Plot: This was a fun Middle Grade book! There was a mystery in the book, which was fun. I liked how each chapter began with pages from Abigail's field notes journal.

Characters: They were good! All of the girls had distinct personalities. And I liked reading about Abigail and her quest to find a friend.

The Cover: It's cute! When I was that age, that cover would definitely had made me pick up the book!

Overall: This was a cute MG book! I liked that friendship was the main focus of it. And I liked how there was a mystery in it! If this book sounds interesting to you, I definitely recommend trying it! :)

I received an e-ARC of this book from the publisher.
