Summer Lovin’ 2022! Interview With Elizabeth Everett!

Hi, everyone! Today I'm happy to present an interview with Elizabeth Everett, the author of A Perfect Equation, which is out now! She is also the author of the first book in the series, A Lady's Formula for Love, which is also out now.

Would you please tell us a little about your book, A Perfect Equation?

A Perfect Equation is the second in the Secret Scientists of London series, although it can easily be read as a stand-alone. It features a prickly mathematician, Letty Fenley, who is forced to work with the cool and aloof Lord Greycliff (Grey) with whom she has a troubled history. Their mutual dislike turns to a grudging respect and then much more while they work together to keep the club of secret women scientists from closing. Both Grey and Letty have let their past dictate their present and they aren’t able to trust their love until they can trust themselves. This romance features lots of math, explosions, and the occasional hedgehog.

The 3rd book in the series, A Love By Design, releases in 2023, can you tell us anything about it?

A Love by Design is the the third book in the series and features the engineer, Margaret Gault and her childhood love, the Earl Grantham. Fans of the Secret Scientists have been very excited that Grantham is getting his very own HEA. Grantham never gotten over Margaret Gault but when she returns to England after twelve years in France, her priority is the establishment of the first woman owned engineering firm. Grantham is committed to education reform and the two come into conflict when Margaret accepts a commission from his political arch nemesis. This book features hijinks, bridge design, and aggressive geese.

Random Question! What’s your favorite color?

Crimson

If you’re able to talk about it, what are you currently working on?

Right now I am working on the first book of a spin-off series from the Secret Scientists of London. The first book, A Cure for What Ails You, features a woman apothecary who provides reproductive health care and a bookkeeper who isn’t what he seems.

What are some of your favorite Romance books? And what are some you’re looking forward to reading?

I really enjoy historical romances set in the Victorian era, such as those by Sherry Thomas, Evie Dunmore, Joanna Lowell and Erin Satie. I cannot wait for Joanna Lowell’s next book, Artfully Yours, about an art critic and a lady forger. I’m also really excited about two upcoming contemporary romances, Mazey Eddings’ s, Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake and Ali Hazelwood’s, Love on the Brain.

Thank you to Elizabeth Everett for participating in this event! :)
